A Trousseau of wonderful lingerie can bring every bit as much joy as a wedding dress to a new marriage!! I love the way that a wedding is unique for everyone as it really can make the most of the personal way that we work. It gives opportunities to create special pieces using treasures from our exciting collection of vintage laces, guipures and pretty motifs. We can work a bride’s ‘something old’ into a design or add to a silk garter as well as include fabrics from the dress to make underwear to match. A lot of our bridal lingerie is made from all cotton English needlerun Nottingham lace bought from a wonderful family company started in the 1830s. They hold a vast and incredible archive and are one of the last producers still to make lace in traditional ways here in the UK. They were the makers of the lace for the Princess Diana wedding dress that inspired the 9 year old me to become a designer so I am especially delighted to be able to work with their lace as I care passionately about keeping heritage industries such as this alive and healthy.
